All about ESL:
Jeffco's English as a Second Language (ESL) program develops the ability of English Language Learners (ELLs) to speak, read, write, and understand English for a variety of purposes. The program also provides ELLs with the support they need to access grade-level curriculum as they are learning English. For more information, click here.
Students at Blue Heron Elementary have a background in 14 different languages: Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Croatian, Romanian, Serbian, Hungarian, Hebrew, Arabic and Amharic.
All about Ms. Tramontano:
This is my 11th year teaching elementary school and my 3rd year at Blue Heron. Before moving into the role of K-5 ESL teacher, I was a 3rd grade classroom teacher. I received my BA in Speech Communication and History at Colorado State University. I then attended graduate school at the University of Colorado-Denver to get my teaching license and MA in ESL. Currently, I am taking M.Ed. classes in Educational Leadership at Regis University.
In my spare time, I love hanging out with my kids: ages 7, 9, 10 and 12. We are always having adventures together. I am a Colorado native, and I love reading and cooking. I look forward to working with you and your family this year!
